A car struck a group of 10‑16‑year‑old teenagers in the Polish town of Łebieńska Huta, killing one and leaving another critically injured on Tuesday at about 7:30 pm.
Tragedy in Łebieńska Huta
A vehicle collided with four teenagers aged 10 to 16 near the settlement of Łebieńska Hut on Tuesday evening around 19:30. The crash left one victim dead and another person severely wounded. The driver fled the scene immediately after the incident.
Fire Brigade Spokesperson: Amputation Needed
Fire Brigade spokesperson Krzysztof Andrzej Zalewski reported that one teenager died on site despite ongoing resuscitation efforts. A second boy sustained a severe leg injury that required an immediate amputation, performed right at the accident location, as confirmed by Polish Radio 24.

Emergency services were dispatched from four fire brigade units in the Wejherowo county, along with teams from JRG Kartuzy and OSP Pomieczyno. A helicopter from the Air Rescue Service also arrived at the scene to support the rescue operation.
