Fire Brigade Responds Twice to Roof‑Insulation Blaze in Nowodworów Block

The fire department intervened twice on October 6 at 9 Książkowa Street in Nowodworów, after a roof‑insulation fire erupted, yet the residents were not evacuated.

Initial Incident

A fire ignited in the roof‑insulation of a block at 9 Książkowa Street in the Nowodworów district on October 6.

First Response

Around 19:00, four fire units were dispatched. The crew extinguished the blaze in the roof insulation and then returned to the station.

Return of Fire

After 22:00, firefighters were called back to the site. The fire reappeared in the same roof‑insulation area, prompting five units—including the city operative group—to respond.

Final Extinguishment

By approximately 23:30, foam was applied and the area was monitored to ensure the fire was fully smothered. No evacuation was necessary. The operation concluded after 8:00 the next morning, with about 15 m² of cellulose insulation consumed.
