A 78‑year‑old driver hit a crowd of pedestrians waiting at a bus stop in Łebcz, Poland, on Tuesday morning, injuring three people, including a four‑year‑old girl.
What Happened
Around 8:30 a.m. at a bus stop near Łebcz, a 78‑year‑old driver mistakenly swerved into a group of pedestrians crossing the road. Both parties had errors: the driver misjudged the maneuver and the pedestrians were on the wrong side of the road.
Injuries
Three people were wounded, including two women aged 70 and 66 and a four‑year‑old girl. All were transported to a hospital in Wejherowo for medical care.
Response
Medical teams, the Puck fire brigade, and the local volunteer fire department responded to the scene. An ambulance helicopter from the Air Rescue Service was called but later deemed unnecessary.
Investigation
Police chief Mirosław Monczak said investigations were underway and confirmed the driver was sober. No fatalities were reported.
