Fatal Pomeranian Crash: New Details on Arrested Driver

A 33‑year‑old man was arrested on Wednesday morning in Kościersko County following a fatal crash in Łebieńska Huta that killed a 10‑year‑old boy and injured three teenagers.

Arrest of 33‑Year‑Old Man

The suspect, a resident of Kościersko County, was taken into custody early Wednesday, 8 October, at a house in the same county. He was brought to the police command without resisting.

Police Statements on the Arrest

Anetta Potrykus, spokesperson for the Wejherowo police, said the suspect refused both a breathalyzer and drug test, but blood samples were taken. Police say the vehicle involved in the crash is now secured.

Details of the Fatal Crash

On Tuesday evening, around 19:30, a passenger car struck four children—aged 10 to 16—in Łebieńska Huta, Wejherowo County. Three were riding bicycles, one walked. The youngest child died at the scene; the others suffered serious injuries, one losing a leg.

Victim Information

Among the four fatalities, two were brothers. Two of the injured teenagers were also related to the deceased.
