Light, Colour, Greenery: New Kindergarten Takes Shape in Nowa Wola

77Studio Architecture is building a five‑section kindergarten in Nowa Wola, Warsaw, with construction slated to finish in early 2026.

Project Overview

Behind Warsaw, 77Studio Architecture is constructing a sprawling, single‑storey pavilion that will house a five‑section kindergarten. The building’s green façade and colourful glazing are intended to foster a friendly, readable environment for children.

Site Integration and Design Features

Designed to blend seamlessly into the surrounding green area, the pavilion is calm and readable. Its most striking element is the external colourful glazing, which aids orientation and reduces heat gain.

Interior Layout and Spaces

The building covers just over 900 m². The ground floor includes teaching rooms, supporting facilities, office‑administrative spaces, and a catering area. A multifunctional hall functions as a meeting and activity centre, offering theatre, rhythmic activities, movement lessons, and an indoor winter playground. The hall’s floor is decorated with children’s drawings, while the upper floor contains auxiliary and technical rooms.

Energy Efficiency and External Treatment

Modern, energy‑saving solutions are central to the design. Under‑floor heating will be installed in both the hall and teaching rooms. The façades will be finished in grey‑and‑beige bricks and light wood, covered with zinc‑coated steel mesh overgrown with vines, creating a green roof and façade.

Colour Coding and Light Play

Each classroom and cloakroom will be assigned a distinct colour to help children orient themselves. The building’s base palette is calm and monochromatic, providing a backdrop for the bright panes, while daylight will colour floors, walls, and furniture throughout the day.

Stakeholders and Timeline

The investor is Fal‑Bruk. Completion is planned for early 2026. Architect Paweł Naduk emphasises that chambered human scale, clear graphic form, and the play of light together offer effective educational experiences, encouraging children to observe architecture and natural phenomena through play.
