After the announcement of Szymon’s decision, Petru noted that other members felt motivated to campaign for the party’s national council, revealing that supporters for Katarzyna Pełczyńska‑Nałęcz have relatively low backing. He warns that if she or Paweł Śliz take control, the party’s direction could revert to previous policies.
Discontent Among Voters and Party Position
Petru highlights that the 2023 errors have eroded confidence; voters who had abandoned the party seek better representation. He proposes revisiting earlier initiatives such as raising the 800‑plus benefit and clarifying tax policy while maintaining a pro‑business, green‑transformation stance.

He describes growing friction with both the Left and PSL, noting that polarization has led to the party’s diminished ability to push joint projects.
