Prosecutor Launches Investigation Against Eight Suspects
Prosecutor Jolanta Dębiec of the District Court in Opole Lubelskie announced a criminal proceeding against eight individuals accused of attempting a robbery. The case highlights that the suspects failed to achieve their objective because the victim fled the scene.
Unwarranted Demand for Money and Death Threats
Authorities found that the suspects demanded money from the motorist without legal grounds. Prosecutors say they sought some form of compensation based on the suspect’s activities, but the money did not belong to them.
Vehicle Assault and Subsequent Report
During the assault, the men punched, kicked, and struck the vehicle with objects, damaging it. They also threatened the driver with death. The victim reported the incident to the police the same evening.
Sequential Arrests and Detention Measures
Police took the suspects into custody one after another. According to the district court in Opole Lubelskie, six individuals were temporarily detained, the seventh placed under police supervision, and the eighth subject to liberty restrictions.
