At about 18:30 a fatal road incident occurred on national road 53 in the village of Dylewo, Ostrołęka County.

Victim and Vehicle Details

A 50‑year‑old driver of a Fiat Scudo bus struck a 60‑year‑old pedestrian on an unlit section of the road. The victim was dressed in dark clothing and wore no reflective equipment; he died at the scene.

Investigation Continues

The bus driver was sober. Police, acting under the supervision of a prosecutor, collected evidence and are determining the exact sequence and causes of the accident. They are inspecting the crash site and the vehicle.

Road Blocking and Detours

The section of national road 53 affected by the crash is completely closed. Delays are expected until about 22:30. Traffic is being routed by police and firefighters through detours.
