Nissan Crashes Into Barriers on S2; Driver Fled, One Passenger Treated

Incident Timeline

At around 13:54 on Thursday, 9 October, a Nissan traveling northbound on the S2 near the Opacz junction collided with energy-absorbing barriers and rolled sideways.

Casualties

The vehicle carried four people. A female passenger received on‑site treatment from medical rescue teams; the other two male passengers were unharmed.

Driver’s Escape

The driver left the vehicle and fled the scene, leaving the car and passengers behind.

Police Response

Police arrived to secure the site, investigate the circumstances, and identify and locate the fleeing driver. Preliminary findings point to excessive speed as the cause.

Traffic Disruption

Two of the three northbound lanes were closed until roughly 15:30, causing significant delays. Traffic was subsequently restored after the urgent operations ended.
