A 78‑year‑old man went mushroom‑forging early in the morning and failed to return to his car that night. Around midnight, a report of his disappearance reached the Otwock County Police Headquarters.
Intensive Search
Police, firefighters from the State Fire Service, and the SRS Search‑Rescue group deployed maximum forces to the expansive forested terrain on the Otwock‑Młynki county border. After an all‑night effort, they located the man in the forest.
Rescue and Medical Care
The victim had fallen and struck his head on a tree, losing consciousness. Upon regaining awareness, he could not get up or reach his car. He was transported to a hospital for evaluation.
