Fatal Incident Ends Nysa Rally After Sixth Special Stage

A rally BMW crashed into a tree, burst into flames, and killed one crew member on the Nysa Rally’s sixth special stage on October 12, 2025, forcing the event to be stopped.

Fatal crash on Stary Las section

At approximately 11:30 a.m. on the sixth special stage “Stary Las” between Polskie Świętów and Sucha Kamienica, a rally BMW hit a tree and caught fire. One crew member died on the scene while the other was transported to hospital. The car belonged to team 112; driver Artur Sękowski, 40, and co-driver Maciej Krzysik were inside.

Rally halted

The organizers announced the cancellation of the Nysa Rally after the sixth special stage in respect of the accident and for the victims’ families. A formal notice was issued by the authority.

Investigation underway

Police and a prosecutor examine the scene, while fire and medical rescue teams have secured the area and are conducting follow‑up investigations.

Earlier incident on Ultra Saturday

On Saturday, October 11, a team car collided with a group of people in a dangerous zone, injuring two and causing the closure of that segment of the rally.
