Suspect’s Professional History
Media reports identify the suspect, Tomasz P., as a former chief of the Bydgoszcz branch of the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS), later head of an NFZ division, and economic director of a Tuchola hospital.
He lost that position and, according to the newspaper, was convicted in 2016 on economic‑crime charges.
Hospital’s Response
Hospital president Jarosław Katulski said he learned of the arrest when police and prosecutors entered the facility with a search warrant. He terminated the director’s contract immediately and stated that no unauthorized image or video transfers have occurred since, citing an IT audit.
