A fire broke out at 19:00 on the second floor of a flat at 171A Grochowska street in Praga‑Południe, forcing firefighters on the scene and causing a temporary road closure.

Fire Breaks Out at 19:00

A blaze ignited in the kitchen on the second floor of a residential building at 171A Grochowska street in the Praga‑Południe district before 7 pm. The fire forced the immediate arrival of local fire crews.

Second‑Floor Kitchen Engulfed

Firefighters poured water directly onto the burning kitchen, but the flames destroyed the entire cooking area. The rest of the apartment was surrounded and cleared of debris.

Emergency Teams Respond

Three squads from JRG 8 and the city operational group were dispatched, supported by medical rescue and police units. No injuries were reported.

Traffic Disruption on Grochowska

During the firefighting operations, one lane of Grochowska street toward Wawra was blocked. Traffic was restored after the crew finished its duties.
