Toyota Fires on Road: Driver Incinerated After Leaving Vehicle, in Critical Condition

A Toyota car caught fire on 3 Maja Street in Truskaw, Warsaw’s western district, at 12:51 p.m., leaving a 41‑year‑old driver severely burned and in critical condition.

Incident Details

At 12:51 on 3 Maja Street in Truskaw (Warsaw–West district), a Toyota passenger car ignited in the middle of the road. The 41‑year‑old driver was the sole participant and sustained severe burns.

Emergency Response

Four fire brigades responded: two from OSP Izabelin, JRG Błonie, and JRG 2 Warsaw. They secured the site and attempted to suppress the vehicle with two blasts of electric power, but the car was fully consumed.

Witness Account

Witnesses say the driver left the vehicle and was engulfed in flames. They rushed to his aid and extinguished him before medical teams could arrive. Precise details of the event are still unknown.

Medical and Police Actions

The Medical Rescue Team and the 12th Flight Rescue Unit were present, with police and traffic control also on site. Investigators will determine the exact causes and sequence of events.

Impact on Traffic

The road near the incident is blocked. Due to work near Skibińskiego 01 stop, line 210 buses were routed to the Hornówek loop, affecting the route between Skibińskiego 01 and Hornówek 01.
