Tram collides with Toyota in Mokotów, service halted 22 minutes

At 9:05 a.m. on the intersection of Puławska and Racławicka in Warsaw’s Mokotów district, a Toyota passenger car drove into a line 4 tram, blocking the tracks and stopping tram traffic for 22 minutes, with no injuries reported.

At 9:05 a.m. the Toyota, driven by a passenger vehicle operator, collided with a line 4 tram at the Puławska‑Racławicka intersection in Mokotów.

Immediate aftermath

The impact caused the tram to enter the tracks, immediately stopping tram traffic in the area.

Tram service was halted for 22 minutes; after the vehicle was removed from the tracks, lines resumed operation.

No injuries and investigation

No persons were injured. The incident is being investigated by instructors of the Warsaw Tram Traffic Supervisory.
