Polish temperatures will lift in the second half of October as a late‑summer heat wave peaks, with highs reaching 23 °C across the country.
Autumn Remains Cool, but Change Approaches
The first half of October has been harsh: rain, strong wind, low temperatures, and nighttime lows dropping below 5 °C in places.
Until 19 October, the weather will stay typical of early autumn, with daytime highs staying below 15 °C, and the east and mountainous regions even cooler.
Many areas will see brief showers, while higher elevations may receive rain mixed with snow. The end of the week should bring less cloud cover and more sunshine as the skies clear.
Sun and Warmth Return After 20 October
From about 20 to 22 October, temperatures are expected to rise past 20 °C, with the best warmth felt in the afternoon across eastern and central Poland.
Regions such as Silesia, Lesser Poland, and Masovia may see thermometer readings of 22–23 °C, driven by a southerly wind and ample sunshine.
Short But Golden Autumn Moment
Although late summer will arrive late this year, the brief clear period promises delightful weather for only a few days.
Citizens are urged to take advantage with walks or to enjoy autumn scenery, as golden leaves, blue skies, and gentle sun can create a true seasonal spectacle.
