Mazowieckie: Tragic Death on A2 Highway Accident

A 71‑year‑old truck driver was killed Tuesday before 9 a.m. after he stopped on the emergency lane near Kopiska on the A2 when he was struck by a Mitsubishi.

Incident Details

At approximately 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, a heavy‑truck driver halted on the A2 emergency lane near the small town of Kopiska, in Garwolin County, Poland. He exited the vehicle with the intention of leaving it stopped.

Fatality

The truck driver was hit by a Mitsubishi vehicle, which collided with him as it passed. The impact resulted in the truck driver’s death. He was 71 years old.

Emergency Response

Air Ambulance units were dispatched to the scene, but medical staff could not revive the victim. The site remained congested for several hours, impeding traffic flow.

Police Findings

Investigators confirmed that the Mitsubishi driver was sober at the time of the crash. Authorities have not released further details regarding the circumstances leading to the collision.
