Stolen Tusk Lexus Returns to Sopot Prime Minister’s Residence, Guarded by SOP

A stolen Lexus belonging to former Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk was found parked in front of his Sopot home on Oct 13, after a nighttime burglary and a week of police scrutiny.

Recovered at Tusk’s Sopot Residence

The Lexus stolen on 9‑10 September was found again on the prime minister’s property on 13 October, four days after the burglary was revealed.

SOP Officer Critiques Security Lapses

An unnamed SOP official blamed a lack of vigilance, noting that while the residence is monitored 24/7, the staff apparently slept through the theft.

No Official Sanctions Announced

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs denied claims that the director and deputy director had been removed, saying any leave was pending and awaiting a full report.

Suspect Held in Poland

Łukasz W., 41, was arrested on 13 September while attempting to fly from Gdańsk to Burgas, facing up to ten years in prison after a fraud conviction.
