TVP Info Studio Tension: Youth Activist Sparks Conflict, Host Seizes Microphone

On Monday, 13 October, a clash erupted in TVP Info’s studio when a youth activist of the Confederation confronted host Marek Czyż, who seized his microphone.

Incident in TVP Info Studio

During the Monday (13 October) broadcast of “Bez retuszu” on TVP Info, a youth activist from the Confederation’s “Młodzi dla Wolności” party approached host Marek Czyż with a question that spiralled into conflict.

The Question Controversy

The activist, citing a “pseudo‑journalist” Dobrosz‑Oracz, asked about the situation of Senator Kwiatkowski and the alleged affair surrounding the pseudodziennikarka. Czyż warned him that he was being “too soft” and took the microphone from him when he tried to continue.

Parliamentary Response

Members of Parliament present in the studio reacted immediately. PiS MP Mariusz Gosk called Czyż’s conduct “uncivilized,” while Senator Kwiatkowski refused to be labeled a pseudodziennikarz. The activist had apparently wanted to refer to a TVP‑Republika story that the husband of Justyna Dobrosz‑Oracz had been employed at the Central Information Center since 2024.

Background on the Law of Lawfulness

Justice Minister Waldemar Żurek unveiled the draft “Law of Lawfulness” on 9 October, aiming to streamline the judiciary’s legal chaos. According to the proposal, “neo‑judges” will be split into three groups: green – young judges who remain in their posts; yellow – judges appointed through the neo‑KRS who may return to previous ranks but can compete for current positions; red – judges barred from sitting in the Supreme Court and National Administrative Court, as well as prosecutors and legal advisers who have been appointed to judicial roles.
