Arrest of 25‑Year‑Old Following Barcic House Tragedy

The 25‑year‑old suspect was arrested in an abandoned building near the Barcic household where a triple homicide occurred on October 15, with police still investigating the motives.

25-Year-Old Arrested with Dangerous Tools

According to Deputy Inspector Katarzyna Cisło, the 25‑year‑old was found in an abandoned building, armed with dangerous tools that he did not use against officers.

He was incapacitated and taken into custody. Officers suspected he might have been under the influence of drugs.

An emergency medical unit was called to examine him and determine whether he could be transported to the district police headquarters.

Multiple Interventions in Victim’s Household

Police records show that the house where the homicide took place had received seven interventions in the past two years, all related to family disputes.

In all cases, the underlying cause was the same 25‑year‑old, according to police.

Prosecutors Seek Evidence and Motive

Two prosecutors in Barcic are working to secure traces and evidence that will clarify the sequence of events.

Ongoing crime‑scene operations focus on locating the murder tools and preserving the scene evidence.

The motive remains unknown and will be examined during the legal proceedings.

Village Leader Blames System Failure

Village head Tomasz Koszkul stated that the family had earlier signs of distress, including the 25‑year‑old’s history of mental health issues and multiple placements in care facilities.

He also cited a recent brick‑throwing incident in the area, which police had addressed.

Koszkul said the suspect had threatened relatives and expressed that the system failed to prevent the tragedy.

Triple Murder on Oct 15

On the morning of October 15, authorities found three bodies in a Barcic house: a 52‑year‑old woman and men aged 45 and 66, all showing injuries.

The city police launched a comprehensive search, during which the 25‑year‑old suspect, believed to be the victim’s son, was located in an empty building hours later.

Investigators have not yet determined his culpability and note that his arrest does not confirm his involvement.
