Around 4:55 p.m., a Fiat Doblo driven by a drunken operator crashed into traffic barriers on the S8 near Gwiaździstej Street, overturned, and hit a Jeep, closing three lanes toward Białegostok but leaving no one injured.
Collision on S8
At about 16:55, the Fiat Doblo struck a traffic sign and barriers on the S8 heading toward Marek, at the level of Gwiaździstej Street, then rolled onto its side and collided with a passing Jeep.
Driver Impaired
The driver tested positive for alcohol, with a breath alcohol level exceeding 0.5 ‰. No injuries were reported.
Emergency Response
Police officers arriving from a nearby station immediately secured the scene: they repositioned the vehicle onto its wheels and dispatched additional units, while firefighters who arrived soon after secured the area and repaired damaged infrastructure.
Traffic Disruption
Three lanes in the Białegostok direction were blocked, creating significant congestion. Traffic flow was gradually restored after the emergency teams completed their work.
