On Oct. 15 in the village of Obręb, a 32‑year‑old Volkswagen driver was killed after being crushed in a head‑on collision on the Trzepowo–Pokrzywnica county road.
Fatal Incident on Trzepowo–Pokrzywnica Road
A head‑on collision occurred around 10 a.m. on the county road between Trzepowo and Pokrzywnica, in the municipality of Obręb, in the Masovian Voivodeship. The crash involved a Volkswagen and a Cupra. The 32‑year‑old driver of the Volkswagen was killed on site.
Second Vehicle Sustained Minor Injuries
The 46‑year‑old driver of the Cupra was transported to a hospital for further diagnosis and treatment after the collision.
Firefighters and Police Response
Five fire‑rescue squads, three from JRG Pułtusk and units from OSP Trzepowo and OSP Pokrzywnica, arrived quickly. Medical teams performed CPR before the victim’s condition could not be revived. Police, under the supervision of a prosecutor, secured the scene and documented the incident.
Road Closure and Diversions
The county road was fully closed for several hours, with local detours established until the emergency work was completed.
