Night Fire Engulfs Abandoned Building in Wołomin; Attic Inferno

In Wołomin, Poland, an abandoned building on Słoneczna Street caught fire in its attic after midnight on Wednesday, Oct. 15.

Emergency Response

Firefighters arrived shortly after midnight and found the attic already ablaze. Seven fire‑brigade crews and the police were dispatched to the scene.

Firefighting Efforts

A water torrent was applied to the burning roof, quickly bringing the flames under control. The crews then carried out a thorough extinguishment and inspected the area to prevent flare‑ups.

Aftermath and Investigation

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains unknown, and the building was unoccupied at the time.
