Prime Minister Donald Tusk revealed that his governing coalition still commands robust backing in newly released polling data, urging the nation to keep moving forward.
Tusk Reveals Coalition Support Levels
Donald Tusk posted on the government’s mid‑term that the Civic Coalition remains the most popular, garnering 34.1 % of the vote. Law and Justice trails at 27.9 %, followed by Confederation at 16.4 %, and smaller parties such as Polish National Crown, Together, the Left, Polish People’s Party, and Poland 2050 receive between 7 % and 2.4 %.
Second Poll Confirms Ongoing Confidence
A separate survey by the Pollster Institute for “Super Express” found that 65 % of respondents would still vote for the governing coalition, 22 % had changed their opinion, and 13 % were undecided. The survey, conducted 11‑12 Oct via CAWI on 1,002 adults, highlights a stable base of support.
Reference to 2023 Parliamentary Elections
In the October 15 2023 election, a turnout of 74.38 %—the highest in the Third Republic—produced a parliament dominated by PiS (35.38 %), the Civic Coalition (30.70 %), the Third Way PSL‑Poland 2050 (14.40 %), New Left (8.61 %), and Confederation Freedom and Independence (7.16 %).
Same‑Day National Referendum Results
On the election day, a nationwide referendum posed four questions about state asset sales, retirement age, and border enforcement with Belarus. Voter turnout did not exceed 50 %, so under the constitution the results were non‑binding.
