Bestial Killing Near Warsaw: Victim Struck with Chair, then Broken Parts to Head and Chest

On October 13, 2025, a 44‑year‑old man was fatally assaulted in Grodzisk Mazowiecki, Poland, after two men beat him with a chair and its broken parts, police say.

Investigation Led by County Prosecutor

The District Prosecutor’s Office in Grodzisk Mazowiecki is overseeing the case of a fatal assault that occurred on October 13, 2025, at Królewska Street. On October 15, the office filed applications for temporary detention of the suspects.

Suspects Charged Under Article 148 §1

Kamil Z. and Wojciech K. were charged under Polish criminal code §148(1) for the murder of 44‑year‑old Robert M., accusing them of coordinated attacks with direct intent to kill, using fists to hit the victim’s head and body.

Temporary Detention Ordered

On October 16, the District Court imposed a three‑month preventive detention on both suspects, to run until January 11, 2026.

Evidence of Fire After Incident

Following the assault, a fire erupted in the building where the body was discovered. Prosecutors say the fire’s origin and whether it was caused by the suspects remain under investigation.

Autopsy Reveals Severe Head and Chest Injuries

External examination and a post‑mortem revealed massive head injuries and a fractured thoracic skeleton. Experts concluded the wounds were caused by repeated blows from a blunt, hard, elongated object—first a chair, then its broken parts used against the head and chest.

Ongoing Investigation and Further Expert Analysis

The investigation continues, with plans to obtain forensic genetics, dactyloscopy, forensic medical, and fire‑investigation expert reports, and to conduct psychiatric assessments of the suspects.
