A hotel near Kozienice in Poland erupted in flames Thursday night, prompting over 100 firefighters from multiple counties to battle a blaze that engulfed two‑thirds of the building, but no injuries were reported.
Hotel Fire Near Kozienice
A hotel and its restaurant in Mniszew, Kozienice County, erupted in flames over the night from Wednesday to Thursday. About two‑thirds of the building is burning, but preliminary reports say the fire has not spread beyond the structure.
Firefighters Mobilised from Multiple Counties
Some 30 crews, roughly 140 firefighters, responded to the incident. Additional units from neighboring Kozienice and Piaseczno Counties were dispatched, bringing substantial resources to control the blaze.
Fire Originated on the Roof
The blaze began on the attic, where roof covering is believed to have ignited, according to Deputy Officer Wiktor Czubaj of the Kozienice County Fire Brigade.
No Injuries Reported
All nine people inside the hotel left the building independently before the arrival of firefighters, resulting in no serious injuries.
