On Saturday 11 October, Płońsk police reported tear gas used against two Belarusian civilians, only to discover nearly 400 g of amphetamine in the suspect’s home.

Tear Gas Incident

Płońsk police received a call on 11 October regarding an assault in a residential area. Two Belarusian citizens spoke Russian when approached by three teenagers; after one asked their nationality, a teen sprayed tear gas at a 53‑year‑old man and his 33‑year‑old friend, then struck the older man with a can. The police and ambulance transported the wounded to a hospital.

Police Investigation and Arrest

Investigators quickly identified the attacker as a 16‑year‑old local. He was arrested and questioned as a juvenile offender. Evidence was handed to prosecutors and the case was forwarded to the Family and Juvenile Court. Charges included insulting the Belarusian nationals for their ethnicity and violating bodily integrity.

Uncovering a Densely Stocked Drug Cache

While searching the teenager’s home, officers sought the tear‑gas can and discovered a metal bucket containing a foil bag of white powder in a hallway cupboard. The 46‑year‑old father initially claimed ignorance but later admitted ownership. He was taken into police custody and his children were placed under family care. Laboratory tests confirmed the powder as amphetamine, amounting to nearly 400 g.

Following requests from prosecutors and investigators, the court granted a three‑month temporary detention for the 46‑year‑old. He faces up to ten years’ imprisonment for possession of a large quantity of drugs.
