Wołomin Man Arrested for Series of Clothing and Shoe Theft

A 33‑year‑old man was arrested in Wołomin for a series of clothing and shoe thefts that have cost local retailers over 13,000 zlotys, with police facing up to six charges.

Arrest of Retail Theft Suspect

Police from the Criminal Section of the Wołomin District Police Command arrested a 33‑year‑old man suspected of committing a series of clothing and footwear thefts in stores within a Wołomin shopping mall. Losses caused by his activity were estimated at over 13,000 zlotys.

Investigation Process

For several months, officers conducted intensive operational activities regarding repeated thefts in clothing and shoe stores. Incidents occurred from March to August 2025, with the suspect selecting branded clothing and valuable shoes, then leaving the stores without payment.

Through analysis of surveillance footage and collected operational information, police established the suspect’s appearance and then identified the man responsible for these crimes.

After collecting sufficient evidence, officers determined his current whereabouts and arrested him. He was taken to the Wołomin District Police Command, where he faced six theft charges.

The entire material was handed over to the Wołomin District Prosecutor’s Office, which will oversee further proceedings. The suspect faces prison from 3 months to 3 years, and police do not rule out additional charges from similar cases under review.
