PiS MP Accuses KO of a ‘Drunken Party’ in Parliament Hotel – Łącki Calls the Claim Nonsense

In a heated debate over alcohol access in the Polish parliament, a PiS MP alleged that MP Artur Łącki hosted a drunken event in the parliamentary hotel, a claim the KO MP rejected as outright false.

Alleged Party Amidst Alcohol Debate

During a discussion about the availability of alcohol in the Sejm, reports surfaced that a PiS MP claimed a party had taken place in the parliamentary hotel corridor. The allegation was made by Agnieszka Wojciechowska van Heukelom, a member of the PiS party.

PiS MP’s Account of Corridor Celebration

Wojciechowska reported that on the same day as the debate, MP Łącki was celebrating his name day on the sixth floor, and a “drunken” gathering occurred in the corridor. She said the event was brief, lasting about half an hour, and was not a “big party” that went into the early morning hours.

Łącki’s Response and Call for Fairness

Łącki responded that such allegations should be treated with fairness. He argued that while criticism against the opposition leader may be amplified, accusations against him should not be automatically accepted. He emphasized that all MPs should be seen through a consistent lens, not selectively reported.

KO MP Denies ‘Party’ Label

In reply to the accusations, the KO MP stated that describing the meeting as a party was an exaggeration. He claimed it was simply a short, informal gathering where colleagues wished him congratulations, and that it did not constitute a substantial party.
