The Radom‑West District Prosecutor’s Office has opened an investigation into the murder of a man and an attempted murder of a woman that occurred on 17 October 2025 in Jedlnia‑Letnisko. Prosecutor Aneta Gozdź confirmed the start of proceedings. The 36‑year‑old arrested is the victim’s son, found at his parents’ home where the attack happened.
Attack Details
The 36‑year‑old entered the parents’ house and first stabbed the father, then the mother with a knife. He delivered several blows, inflicting lacerated and penetrating wounds around the neck and abdomen.
Immediate Consequences
The man died before emergency services arrived; the woman, in critical condition, was taken to hospital. Police arrested the victim’s son on site. Prosecutor Gozdź stated that he was sober.
Detention and Psychiatric Care
The arrested remains under psychiatric specialists’ care. His psychophysiological state prevents prosecutors from proceeding with formal indictment and questioning. The office continues collecting evidence and will present charges once his health permits.
