Course of the Attack
The attacker, described by witnesses as an unrestrained am‑staff or pit‑bull type, leapt out of the house and bit the terrier. In trying to rescue the dog, the woman was bitten, sustaining fractures of two fingers and multiple lacerations.
Witness Reaction and the Dog’s Fate
Witnesses attempted to break up the assault by splashing water and grabbing the dog; one even threw a jacket between the animals. The dog calmed only after a second spray of water. The wounded terrier was taken to a clinic but did not survive.

The woman lodged a complaint at the Warsaw VII Regional Police Command on Grenadierów Street. Local residents claim this is not the first incident involving the same dog.
