Former PEKPOL Director Convicted, Ordered to Pay Over 1.2 Million Zloty

On October 14, 2025, the Ostrołęka District Court convicted former PEKPOL plant director Andrzej Ch. and colleague Krzysztof P. for fraud, sentencing them to multiple years in prison and ordering them to pay damages.

Court Decision and Sentences

The Ostrołęka District Court found both men guilty of acting against the interests of PEKPOL Ostrołęka S.A.

Andrzej Ch., former Director of Production, was sentenced to 4 years 6 months imprisonment and a fine of 40 000 zloty (800 daily rates).

Krzysztof P. received 1 year 6 months imprisonment and a fine of 15 000 zloty (150 daily rates).

Fraudulent Document Production

The court determined that both men facilitated the creation of unreliable documents that led to improper payments to PEKPOL’s service providers.

Andrzej Ch. accepted monetary benefits in exchange for abusing his authority, while Krzysztof P. provided those benefits and jointly produced the forged documents.

Financial Damages and Joint Liability

Andrzej Ch. is liable for 1 290 488,53 zloty in damages to PEKPOL.

Both defendants share joint liability of 547 458,53 zloty for the same damages.

Appeal Rights

The judgment is not yet final; each party may appeal to the Court of Appeal in Białystok.
