On 13 October, Warsaw police detained a 47‑year‑old repeat thief who robbed cars and electronics, while a 43‑year‑old black‑marketeer faces up to five years in prison for related crimes.

Police Detain Car‑Break‑In Thief

Polish police from the Warsaw VI district command arrested a 47‑year‑old man after he broke into cars in the Praga Północ area and robbed them. He was taken in at a street in northern Praga.

The suspect faces five charges, all prosecuted as multi‑recidivist offences, including car robbery and theft of electronics from a massage salon.

Electronic Theft at Massage Salon Recovered

On 13 October, police were notified of the theft of electronic equipment from a massage salon. Footage captured the thief’s face.

After analyzing the recording, officers identified the suspect, already known for previous similar crimes, and apprehended him at Ząbkowska street.

The 47‑year‑old confessed the theft and indicated a pawn shop where he sold part of the stolen equipment. Police recovered a tablet and a phone and identified shipments of other stolen goods.

Court Grants Temporary Detention

Due to the evidence and the suspect’s multi‑recidivist status, the court applied for temporary detention, citing a possible 15‑year sentence.

Black‑Marketeer Faces Up to Five Years

The 43‑year‑old black‑marketeer, who is also charged in the same string of theft cases, faces a maximum punishment of five years’ imprisonment.
