Driver on Drugs Loses Control of Audi, Hits Protective Barriers

A 34‑year‑old driver under the influence crashed his Audi into protective barriers on Powązkowska Street, prompting police to seize 24 g of 4 CMC and over 2 g of cocaine.

Police Investigation

The Warsaw drug‑control unit was dispatched after reports that a driver lost control of his Audi on Powązkowska Street and collided with the road’s protective barriers. Officers arrived at the scene to find a medical team aiding the stalled vehicle. An on‑site urine test returned positive for cocaine.

Substance Findings

A search of the vehicle uncovered 17 aluminum foil wrappers containing white powder. Laboratory analysis confirmed 24 g of 4 CMC and more than 2 g of cocaine. The seized drugs were turned over to police in Żoliborz for further examination.

Authorities determined the 34‑year‑old had been selling and distributing narcotics, including through online chats. He faces up to ten years imprisonment for possession of large amounts of drugs, providing them to others, and driving under the influence. At the prosecutor’s request, a court has placed him under a three‑month provisional detention.
