Car Collides with Tram in Białołęka; Impact Causes Wheel to Detach

At the intersection of Annopol and Inowłodzka streets in Warsaw’s Białołęka district, a car struck a Line 1 tram, injuring one person and halting tram service.

Collision Details

The incident occurred on Annopol Street near the intersection with Inowłodzka. A Volkswagen passenger car failed to yield and collided with an approaching Line 1 tram.

Vehicle Damage

The impact was strong enough to break a wheel from the car, which also struck the tram’s side window.

Medical and Emergency Response

One passenger was treated by emergency medical teams on scene. The Warsaw Tram Traffic Control, fire department, emergency medical services, and police are present and securing the area.

Tram Service Disruption

Tram traffic on the affected segment is blocked; passengers may experience delays and rerouting of lines 1 and 4 until the collision site is cleared.

Due to the accident near Annopol and Inowłodzka, trams travel on a shortened route to Annopol loop. Bus line 234’s route has been extended to accommodate the disruption.
