Model Lured to Thailand, Transformed into Slavery, Family Receives Shocking News

A 26‑year‑old Belarusian model was allegedly deceived into a trip to Thailand, forced into slavery, and subsequently reported dead by her family.

Model Lured to Thailand

The Daily Mail reported that 26‑year‑old Belarusian model Weronika Krawcowa was lured to Thailand under the pretext of a modelling job. Thailand’s Nation portal says the offer was a lie, and Russian portal Mash reports she was taken to Myanmar and forced into labor.

Alleged Slavery and Trafficking

Sources claim Krawcowa was posted to a cybercrime center for extorting money from wealthy men, then forced into slavery. The Daily Mail states she was sold for organ harvesting and subsequently cremated, a pattern described as common in northern Myanmar gangs.

Family Receives Shocking Information

When she stopped sending money, the family lost contact. Anonymous messages then informed them her relative had died, demanded $500,000 for her return, and later claimed she was sold for organs and cremated.

Friend Maintains Hope

Weronika’s friend, speaking to NEXTA, said she was hardworking, had worked in cafés and service jobs, and planned to open a venue in China. Despite death reports, the friend believes Krawcowa can still be found, citing her trust and openness as factors.

Context of Northern Myanmar Gang Activity

Northern Myanmar is controlled by gangs that coerce victims into organ trade, cybercrime, and prostitution. The situation is linked to broader tensions along the Thailand‑Cambodia border, where a state of emergency has been declared.
