Nawrocki’s ownership of a 30‑square‑metre Gdynia apartment purchased from Mr. Jerzy has ended, as a new land‑register entry, dated 16 October, shows the property now belongs to the Gdynia Christian Charity Association.
New land‑register entry confirms change
After the president’s latest asset statement remained unpublished, “Fakt” confirmed that the property record had been updated. The entry, dated 16 October, shows a 30‑m² apartment in Gdynia that the presidential couple bought from Mr. Jerzy Ż. Ownership now rests with the Christian Charity Association from Gdynia. The donation, made on 14 May, only became effective with the new register entry.
Who can use the apartment?
A notarised deed, signed by the association’s president and Mrs. Marta Nawrocka—who represented President Karol Nawrocki—includes a clause allowing Mr. Jerzy to occupy the dwelling if his health and desire permit. The deed also states that if Mr. Jerzy cannot or chooses not to use the property, it will be allocated to people in crisis.
The apartment saga
During a pre‑election debate on 28 April 2025, Nawrocki said he owned one apartment. On 30 April, Onet reported two apartments in his name. On 5 May, the same portal claimed Nawrocki had taken a municipal studio from 80‑year‑old Jerzy Ż in exchange for caretaking duties, despite Mr. Ż being housed in a state social assistance home in Gdańsk—a fact Nawrocki reportedly did not know. He ultimately donated the studio for charitable purposes.
