Head‑On Bicycle Collision on Mokotów Leaves One Person Hospitalized

On October 23, a head‑on collision between two cyclists at the Okrężna‑Powsińska intersection in Mokotów left an adult male hospitalized while a teenage rider from the east emerged uninjured.

Collision Details

At about 1:30 p.m. on October 23, the incident occurred on the Sadyba part of Mokotów at the junction of Okrężna and Powsińska streets. Two cyclists were riding on the sidewalk when they collided head‑on.

Direction of Movement

The teenage rider, coming from the east along Powsińska Street from Św. Bonifacego, turned left onto Okrężna. Simultaneously, the adult cyclist was traveling along Okrężna toward Powsińska. Both headed toward each other and struck each other on the sidewalk.

Injuries Sustained

The adult cyclist was transported to a hospital; the teenager did not require hospitalization and sustained no injuries.

Preliminary Investigation

Police on scene preliminarily identify the teenager as the primary offender, but this may change after the adult, currently hospitalized, is questioned. Further investigation is underway.
