A training drone fell near Inowrocław, Poland, reportedly hitting two cars and a building, prompting police remarks and a claim from a PiS lawmaker of a cover‑up.
Police Confirm Drone Incident
The county police chief, Izabella Drobniecka, reported to Onet that a drone had fallen near the border of Inowrocław city and its municipality. Police statements emphasised that the event posed no threat to public safety.
Unverified Damage Claims
Despite official statements, no confirmation of vehicle or building damage was provided. The police released a clarification noting the absence of any confirmed harm.
Possible Military Training Origin
TVP3 Bydgoszcz cites an unofficial source that the drone was an observational model developed by Military Aviation Works No. 2 in Bydgoszcz, a short‑range reconnaissance system used by the Polish Armed Forces. The device was reportedly under military testing.
Political Allegations of Cover‑Up
Right‑wing MP Bartosz Kownacki announced the incident after 8 p.m. on Tuesday, claiming the drone caused damage to two cars and a building. He accused the police of attempting to hide the event and suppress documentation.
