Heavy traffic disruptions on S2

On Friday, 24 October, drivers on the S2 motorway had to contend with significant delays.

Minutes earlier, the congestion had begun at the Konotopa junction and stretched to the area before the South Bridge.

Collision in the South Bypass tunnel

While stopped, traffic slowed and a three‑vehicle collision occurred in the South Bypass tunnel.

No injuries were reported, but the incident blocked the left lane.

21‑kilometer congestion

The gathered traffic makes the approximately 21‑km stretch of S2 take around 50 minutes to cross.

Travel time

Heavy rain from the morning hours has reduced the throughput of many access routes and junctions.

Until the congestion clears, expect slower arrivals to the tunnel and the South Bridge area.
