Partial Water Failure at MSWiA Hospital on Wołoska Street

On Friday, Oct. 24, a partial water main disruption at Warsaw’s State Medical Institute MSWiA prompted emergency water supply measures before 7:30 p.m.

Incident Overview

On Friday, October 24, before 19:30, a partial water main failure occurred at the State Medical Institute MSWiA at 137 Wołoska Street, Warsaw. Water tanker trucks, a deputy fire brigade team and a city operational officer were dispatched to the site.

Emergency Response

Temporary water supply was established on the hospital grounds. Firefighters distributed water from tanks, first from the fire truck and then from a municipal water tanker, between two hospital blocks.

Water Distribution

Water was transferred using four buckets from the collection point to department entrances, where nurses took it and used it for patient care.

Repair Efforts

Simultaneous repair work was underway by MPWiK and a private waterworks company, with no completion time announced.

Status

No evacuation was necessary, and the situation is under control.
