The replica shop of Wokulski from the film adaptation of “Lalka” will remain visible on Krakowskie Przedmieście’s exterior until mid‑February, offering visitors a glimpse of Warsaw’s 19th‑century streets in motion.
Set Piece Stays on Krakowskie Przedmieście
The shop, built as part of the full‑length adaptation of “Lalka,” will stay displayed on Krakowskie Przedmieście until mid‑February. Visitors can view it from the outside, exhibiting the interior’s ambiance without full public access, as the set is temporary.
Filming Still Underway in Warsaw
Principal photography for the adaptation of Bolesław Prus’s novel continues in Warsaw. The production, directed by Maciej Kawalski with cinematography by Piotr Sobociński Jr., is scheduled to finish on 20 December.
Public Interest Drives Extended Display
Due to the high public interest in the 19th‑century Warsaw depicted in the film, the producer and creators agreed to keep the shop on the square longer. The Capital Stage (Stołeczna Estrada) has taken on the task of showcasing the set until February.
