On Saturday morning, about 5:30 a.m., a BMW collided with a military Jelcz truck on Poland’s national road 62 in Zarębin, injuring a 52‑year‑old passenger.
Crash Details
The incident occurred on Saturday, 25 October, near Zarębin in the Płock county. A 22‑year‑old BMW driver, presumably overtaking the Jelcz truck, struck the front of the military vehicle, causing the BMW to skid, leave the roadway, and roll onto its side.
Immediate Response
Security forces from the Territorial Defense Army, traveling in a military vehicle, arrived promptly. The Jelcz, carrying 17 soldiers (one driver and 16 passengers), sustained no injuries.
Injury and Medical Care
The BMW’s 52‑year‑old passenger, also a resident of Płock county, was transported to a hospital for treatment.
Alcohol Test Results
Both the BMW driver and the military vehicle’s driver tested sober.
Police Investigation
Polish police conducted on‑scene examinations and preserved evidence. The County Police Headquarters in Płock will investigate the precise circumstances and causes of the accident.
