Water main collapse triggers sidewalk and road subsidence

On Oct. 25, a rupture of the water main beneath the pavement of Arkuszowa Street at the intersection with Opalin Street caused significant erosion of the ground. The loss of soil and silt collapsed a portion of the sidewalk and the adjacent roadway toward Truska Road.

Traffic diverted to shuttle movement amid ongoing repairs

Drivers are currently required to use a shuttle traffic arrangement while the repair works proceed. The diversion may be further disrupted depending on the progress of the work, and the service warns of a possible temporary closure of the roadway while the void is filled and main repairs are carried out.
