Trump Seen as Tyrant as Kamala Harris Ponders Presidential Run

In a BBC interview, former U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris said she is still undecided about running for president, noting that future generations will see a woman in the role.

Will Kamala Harris Run in the Presidential Election?

Kamala Harris said in a BBC interview that she has not finished deciding whether to launch a presidential campaign. She added that she is waiting for the right moment, but maintains that she has not taken a final decision.

She also stated that she believes that her great‑grandchildren will “certainly in their life see a woman on the presidential bench.”

Tough Odds for the Democrat

The BBC reporters reminded that Harris lost to Donald Trump in the last election. They also noted that she would have slim chances if she ran, suggesting that her prospects were poorer than even Hollywood star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s.

A poll showed that 46 percent of respondents supported Trump. Harris replied that if she were listening to such polls, she would not pursue a higher office and that she would not sit in that role.

Harris Calls Trump a Tyrant

Harris criticized American businessmen and institutions that, in her view, have too readily given in to Donald Trump’s demands. She said many have “kneel[led] before the tyrant” since day one.

Business Allies Accused of Subservience

She cited reasons such as “wanting to be close to power,” “seeking approval for a merger,” or “avoiding investigations” as motivations for their capitulation.

Is Harris’ Book a Hint of a Bid?

The article noted that questions have been raised about whether Harris’ new book signals an upcoming candidacy.
