Body of a young man was found dead at a campsite in the Przełom Białka area of Lesser Poland on 26 October, and police are investigating possible hypothermia or other natural causes.
Discovery at Przełom Białka Campsite
On Sunday, 26 October, around 11 a.m., a group of friends at the Przełom Białka campsite in Lesser Poland noticed one camper unresponsive. The man had gone to his tent the night before and was found dead the morning after with no sign of life.
Police Find No Signs of Assault
Police report that no evidence of third‑party involvement was found on the body. The corpse has been secured by forensic specialists who are tasked with determining the cause of death.
Possible Causes Under Investigation
Investigators are looking into whether health factors, hypothermia, or other conditions related to the camp stay may have contributed to the death. The case is being supervised by the District Prosecutor’s Office in Nowy Targ.
Weather Conditions May Have Contributed
Weekend weather forecasts called for rain, snow, and temperatures between 4–7 °C, with strong winds up to 80 km/h that could have created local blizzards. Such conditions could have impacted the campers.
