City councilor Ewa Wincenciak‑Walas of the Citizens’ Coalition shared the clip on Facebook, condemning the mayor’s conduct as disrespectful and questioning whether it reflected PiS’s image. She demanded his immediate resignation and highlighted the potential embarrassment for a city that partners with a German town.

A municipal civic group labeled the incident an “international scandal,” noting that what began as a joke quickly escalated into a heated online debate that could damage Myślenice’s reputation and its partnership with the German city since 1989.
