Wołomin Crime Unit received information that a Toyota Corolla stolen from German streets two days earlier would traverse the Wołomin county. They planned a stakeout and successfully executed it on the S8 motorway in Marki, where the 25‑year‑old suspect was arrested.

Toyota Corolla Recovered

Police recovered the vehicle during the operation, noting that the suspect had a forged license plate in his possession. The car was the same model that had been stolen from Germany a few days earlier.

Suspect’s Criminal History

The man had an extensive criminal record and had previously been sought under an indictment by the Wołomin District Court to serve a prison sentence. He also had a history of other offenses.

Charges and Potential Sentence

He was charged with theft of a vehicle with burglary and use of a counterfeit license plate. Prosecutors imposed police supervision, and he now faces up to ten years in prison.
