Speeding Incident in Tczów
During a routine speed measurement in the municipality of Tczów on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2025, officers from the Zwoleń traffic department detected a Volkswagen traveling at 106 km/h in a built‑up area, well above the legal limit.
Pursuit and Abandonment of Vehicle
The driver ignored stop commands and began to flee; police chased him using lights and sirens, reporting the incident to the unit’s duty officer.
After several kilometres, the driver abandoned his vehicle and continued on foot toward a forest.
Arrest and Legal Consequences
Police caught the driver on foot, found him sober, and brought him to the station for procedural actions before sending him into police custody.
He will answer before a court on charges of failing to submit to a traffic check and using an unassigned licence plate, each carrying a potential prison term of up to five years.
Insurance and Registration Violations
Investigation revealed the vehicle used plates belonging to another car and lacked mandatory liability insurance and technical inspection.
A complaint was filed with the Insurance Fund Guarantee.
Additional Sanctions
The driver lost driving privileges for three months, was fined 1,500 zloty, and received 13 penalty points.
