A 37-year-old woman caught stealing in a Tarczyn store will serve 119 days in prison after being identified as a wanted individual.

A 37-year-old woman was caught stealing in one of the stores in Tarczyn. It quickly became apparent that this event was the beginning of bigger troubles for the woman. Straight from the store, she ended up in a police cell, and later in a prison where she will spend the next 119 days.
Store Security Measures
Many stores, whether clothing or grocery stores, struggle with thefts of smaller or larger amounts. To limit this practice, owners and sellers are focusing on greater supervision and cooperation with the Police. Staff are also paying increasing attention to customers who intend to leave the store without paying for the goods, and store surveillance cameras are becoming allies for many stores.
Details of the Theft
Police officers from the Police Station in Tarczyn received a report of theft that occurred in one of the large-area stores in the municipality. The officers established that a 37-year-old woman attempted to remove cosmetics, bags and alcohol from the store without paying for the goods. Her behavior was closely watched by a security employee who reacted seeing that the woman intended to leave the store. The value of the goods was estimated at around 500 złoty.
Legal Proceedings
This intervention did not end with a ticket. A check in the police information system showed that the 37-year-old is wanted on the basis of a warrant for apprehension issued by the District Court in Sochaczew. The woman was placed in a police cell, and the next day she was taken to a prison where she will serve a 119-day prison sentence in connection with a crime committed in 2023. In connection with the offense committed by the 37-year-old, the officers from Tarczyn submitted a request for punishment to the District Court in Grójec, which will decide on the sentence.
